our story
The name comes from a film. In Willow, the 1988 Warwick Davis fantasy, our hero Willow whispers "Courage, Willow" not a battle cry, just a man quietly asking himself to be braver than he feels. That line stayed with me. It became a kind of invocation of personal courage - for the moments when life got heavy but you have to keep going anyway.
Courage Willow grew out of that idea. Not as a brand concept someone workshopped in a meeting room, but as something I made with my hands, in my own kitchen, because I needed it to exist.
what I make and why its different
I have a background in human biosciences and paramedicine. That shapes how I think about what goes on skin. Every formulation starts with the question: what does this actually do, and is it safe? No synthetic fragrances, only pure essential oils. No fillers dressed up in botanical-sounding names. Small batches, made to order where possible, because quality degrades when you scale too fast.
Fragrance has always been important to me. Scent is one of the few things that can shift your mood in seconds - it's not magic, it's neuroscience. Getting it right matters.
what we stand for
Self-care is not a luxury category. It's maintenance. The products I make are designed to be part of a daily routine that actually means something, not just something that smells nice and sits on a shelf.
Packaging is minimal and mostly recyclable. Ingredients are sourced with sustainability in mind. I'm a one-person operation, which means every order is handled with care because there's no one else to hand it to.
